Yesterday, the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan was held.
The meeting addressed organizational matters.
The candidacy of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was proposed for the position of Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and was unanimously elected.
Additionally, the General Assembly elected Otabek Umarov as the First Deputy Chairman, Sherzod Tashmatov as Deputy Chairman, and Oybek Qosimov as Secretary-General of the Committee.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, the Head of the Presidential Administration Department, Odil Abdurakhmanov, the Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, members of the General Assembly, as well as officials from federations and associations.
