On the Celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan
Thanks to the measures taken to properly celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, this year, the country is implementing large-scale efforts with the participation of local khokimiyats and representatives of the general public to support low-income families, provide care for the elderly and people with disabilities, and organize iftars and charitable events in a compact and organized manner. It should be noted that all of this serves to improve the standard of living of the population, enhance the honor and dignity of the individual in the New Uzbekistan, and strengthen an atmosphere of peace, friendship, mutual respect, generosity, tolerance, and harmony in society.

In order to consistently continue such noble and benevolent deeds, to ensure a fully dignified celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, and to widely promote its humanistic essence, I decree:

1. To take note of the information from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan regarding the coincidence of the first day of Ramadan this year on March 20, a Friday, and to widely celebrate March 20, 2026, in our country as the holiday of Ramadan.

2. The following:

a) The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regional and Tashkent city khokimiyats, together with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations, shall implement appropriate measures in the regions to celebrate Ramadan Hayit in an upbeat mood, in keeping with the national traditions and customs of our people and the national holiday of Navruz. They shall also organize cultural, educational, and charitable events during the holidays aimed at further strengthening an atmosphere of kindness, compassion, generosity, and unity among the population;

b) The Tourism Committee, together with the Ministry of Transport, shall create favorable conditions and opportunities for our compatriots to visit holy pilgrimage sites and historical shrines during Ramadan Hayit.

3. Recommend that the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Uzbekistan, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan, and other media outlets widely cover events related to the celebration of Ramadan Hayit.

4. Oversight of the implementation of this resolution shall be entrusted to Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.N. Aripov and Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.U. Umurzakov.
