People's Artist of Uzbekistan Farrukh Zakirov Honored
The event was attended by government and public figures, representatives of culture and art, creative intellectuals, the general public, and members of the Yalla ensemble.

Speaking at the ceremony, the head of state warmly congratulated Farrukh Zakirov on his anniversary, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued creative success.

As noted, the Zakirov dynasty has made an invaluable contribution to the development of national musical and vocal arts for many years. The creative school founded by People's Artist of Uzbekistan Karim Zakirov, as well as the rich legacy of Batyr Zakirov—one of the founders of national Uzbek pop music—are rightfully considered a great spiritual treasure of our nation.

It was especially emphasized that cases where an entire family, an entire generation, dedicates their lives to the development of art and culture are extremely rare. Having worthily continued these great traditions, Farrukh Zakirov raised national pop art to a new level.

Farrukh Zakirov is a beloved artist not only among our people, but also throughout Central Asia, the Commonwealth, and the Turkic world. It was noted that, in addition to the honorary titles of People's Artist of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, he has been awarded the prestigious titles of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, as well as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Ingushetia, which serves as clear evidence of the high esteem in which his work is held.

Today, the name of Farrukh Zakirov is inextricably linked with the Yalla Ensemble, and Yalla is inextricably linked with the image of Farrukh Zakirov himself. For 55 years, this renowned ensemble has been performing beautiful songs not only in our country but also on prestigious international stages, winning the hearts of millions of fans. Having laid the foundations for collective pop performance, the Yalla Ensemble opened a completely new chapter in the history of art and culture in Uzbekistan. Today, it is impossible to imagine folk festivals, important events, and significant dates without songs performed by this ensemble.

The evening also highlighted the long-standing and fruitful work of the Yalla Ensemble members—Javlon Tukhtayev, Abbos Aliyev, Temur Khalikov, and Igor Khalikov.

As was emphasized, the more than 400 songs performed by the Yalla Ensemble, embodying the national spirit and distinctive melodies, have become true examples of folk art and have become part of the golden fund of our culture. Songs such as "Yallama Yorim," "Yul Bulsin," "Khandalak," "Mazhnuntol," "Kelibdi," as well as the works "Choykhona" and "Sumalak" extol national values, while compositions such as "Toshkentim Onam," "Uchkuduq," and "Shahrisabz" have widely celebrated the unique corners of our country throughout the world.

The head of state also particularly noted Farrukh Zakirov's active participation in the country's socio-cultural life, emphasizing that his mentorship and support to hundreds of young performers on their way to the big stage serve as a true example for all. Through major projects such as "The Voice," he imparts the fundamentals of art and performing culture to emerging talent.

It was emphasized that established cooperation with the region's creative figures serves as a spiritual bridge between peoples. It was also noted that the state will continue to support international creative projects and new works by such masters of art as Farrukh Zakirov.

At the ceremony, it was announced that, in recognition of Farrukh Zakirov's many years of fruitful work and his dedicated contribution to the development of national culture and art, the President had signed a decree and resolution.

Specifically, Children's Music and Art School No. 7 in the Yashnabad District of the capital will be named after Farrukh Zakirov.

This school will house the "Yalla" children's ensemble, a creative laboratory for young people, and modern sound and video recording studios. Based on the mentor-student tradition, performance classes in pop music will be launched, and master mentors will receive salary bonuses. Special opportunities will be created for outstanding students to enroll in specialized arts and culture institutions. Every year, talented students from all regions of the republic will be able to improve their skills at this school. Gifted students, along with their mentors, will be sent to prestigious international competitions and receive appropriate incentives from state funds.

Confidence was expressed that this educational institution will become one of the most exemplary in our country and will serve to preserve and pass on to future generations the priceless creative legacy created by the Zakirov dynasty.

At the ceremony, awards were given for long-term outstanding contributions to the development of national art.
