On August 26, 2025, during the official visit of King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein to Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded Jordan’s highest state decoration – the “An-Nahda” (“Renaissance”) Order.

The award was personally presented by King Abdullah II. In his remarks, President Mirziyoyev said he accepts the honor as recognition of joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, and as a gesture of respect towards the people of Uzbekistan, who are laying the foundations of the Third Renaissance.

The visit confirmed that bilateral relations have entered a new stage. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in political, trade, investment, transport, and cultural-humanitarian areas.

The Uzbek leader praised King Abdullah II for his contribution to Jordan’s development, its peaceful foreign policy, and its growing role on the international stage. He emphasized that this prestigious award will remain a symbol of the strong friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Jordan.

President Mirziyoyev concluded by thanking King Abdullah II for the honor and wished peace and prosperity to the Jordanian people.
