During the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Ashgabat, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded Turkmenistan’s Order “For Contribution to the Development of Cooperation.”

The award was presented as a symbol of recognition for his personal contribution to promoting friendship, trust, and strategic partnership in the region. President Mirziyoyev expressed deep gratitude to National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the people of Turkmenistan.

— I consider this award a sign of deep respect for Uzbekistan and its multiethnic people, as well as recognition of our joint efforts to strengthen regional unity, — said Mirziyoyev.

In recent years, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have significantly deepened their strategic partnership. Major economic and humanitarian projects have been implemented, and the volume of bilateral trade and cooperation has increased substantially.

President Mirziyoyev also highlighted the role of the Turkmen leader and all regional heads of state in building a new model of Central Asian cooperation — a model now recognized by the international community.

In conclusion, he congratulated the Turkmen people on hosting the UN conference and expressed confidence in the success of the upcoming Global Summit in Ashgabat this December, as part of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
