During his state visit to the Republic of Korea, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with compatriots working and studying in the country—continuing a long-standing, positive tradition.

In a sincere and informal conversation, the discussion focused on the implementation of reforms in "New Uzbekistan" and the contribution of compatriots to actively advancing them.

Participants presented a number of creative proposals aimed at expanding economic, scientific, and educational ties between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.

Particular emphasis was placed on integrating artificial intelligence and Korean digital technologies into key sectors of the national economy and public administration; promoting innovative solutions in medicine, transport, customs, and tourism; accelerating the development of domestic payment systems and money transfer platforms; and training specialists in information technology.

Furthermore, concrete proposals were put forward to deepen cultural and humanitarian ties—specifically, expanding the network of Uzbek cultural centers in the Republic of Korea, developing Uzbek language learning programs, hosting cultural events in both countries, and translating works of classical Uzbek literature into Korean.

Expressing gratitude to his compatriots for their significant contribution to the socio-economic development of their homeland, the Head of State emphasized that every initiative voiced would be studied in detail and that the most significant projects would receive comprehensive practical support.

The leader of Uzbekistan wished the professors, entrepreneurs, activists, and students present success in their studies and professional endeavors, noting that the state remains open to dialogue with them and is ready to create all the necessary conditions for realizing their creative potential. In turn, the meeting participants expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the unprecedented attention and new opportunities for self-realization, affirming their full readiness to dedicate their knowledge and energy to the well-being and prosperity of our Motherland.
