The foreign ministers expressed &ldquo;serious concern over the lack of substantial progress in nuclear disarmament&rdquo; under Article 6 of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries have called on the international community to support the creation of new nuclear-weapons-free zones, including in the Middle East. The joint statement was published by Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry to mark the 20th anniversary of the signing of the treaty establishing the Central Asian nuclear-weapons-free zone.

The talks took place during the CSI2* international show-jumping competition held at Gut Ising from September 2 to 6 as part of the traditional Chiemsee Pferdefestival. More than 300 equestrian representatives from around the world took part in the tournament. During the meeting, the sides exchanged experience and discussed further areas of cooperation. In particular, they agreed that Uzbek athletes plan to take part again next year in the international tournament held at Gut Ising. The parties also agreed to consider organizing training camps at the facility for Uzbek athletes and sport horses. Such preparation would allow riders to improve their skills, gain international experience and train at a modern European facility. Uzbekistan and Germany Expand Cooperation in Equestrian Sport

The parties discussed key issues regarding the further development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia. At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State expressed his gratitude to the Serbian leader for the warm welcome and hospitality, emphasizing that this first visit by the President of Uzbekistan to Belgrade would go down in history as the start of a new stage in relations between the two countries. The parties noted with deep satisfaction the intensification of political dialogue, inter-parliamentary ties, trade and economic cooperation, as well as business and humanitarian exchanges. It was emphasized that the opening of diplomatic missions and the establishment of an inter-parliamentary forum would facilitate the deepening of bilateral relations. Trade, economic, and investment interaction is becoming a solid foundation for cooperation. Since the beginning of the year, a series of economic events involving high-level delegations has been successfully held. The first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission took place yesterday. Today, an Uzbek-Serbian business forum will be held, attended by representatives of leading companies from both countries. Particular attention was paid to increasing mutual trade, primarily through the expansion of supplies of high-demand goods. The leaders welcomed the establishment of direct ties between the Samarkand Region and Vojvodina, as well as between the cities of Samarkand and Novi Sad. In the humanitarian sphere, initiatives were put forward to expand partnerships in education, culture, sports, and tourism. Agreements were reached on holding &quot;Days of Culture&quot; and joint film, theater, and music festivals, as well as on fostering direct contacts between sports federations. Particular attention was paid to the issue of organized labor migration. The Serbian side expressed keen interest in establishing systematic cooperation in this area. The parties welcomed the signing of an agreement on mobility and labor migration during the visit. A substantive exchange of views also took place regarding the regional and international agenda, including mutual support within multilateral forums.
