Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye discuss strengthening strategic partnership

As part of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It was emphasized that the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Ankara in January this year elevated Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.
The parties noted that active contacts and exchanges are continuing as part of the implementation of important agreements reached at the highest level, while a new system of interaction between ministries and agencies is contributing to the effective development of multifaceted cooperation.
Since the beginning of this year, bilateral trade, the number of joint ventures, and flights between the two countries have demonstrated dynamic growth. A substantial portfolio of projects involving Turkish companies has been formed, with implementation progressing steadily.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
