Private Educational Institutions Are Exempt from Taxes
Uzbekistan
By the presidential decree, a series of measures have been implemented to exempt private preschool and general education institutions from taxes and fees until January 1, 2030, and to create favorable conditions for attracting foreign specialists.
This decree is a significant step not only in developing the private sector in education but also in enhancing its competitiveness and bringing it closer to international standards.
According to the decree:
Tax Benefits: Private educational institutions will be exempt from all types of taxes and fees (except for social tax). This especially increases the opportunity for new private institutions to direct funds toward improving education quality.
Benefits for Foreign Teachers: Foreign specialists working in private educational institutions will not pay income tax or social taxes. This will financially encourage the hiring of foreign teachers.
Starting from 2025:
"A-2" entry visas will be introduced for foreign teachers.
The fees for work permits for foreign specialists will be significantly reduced. This means the fees will be reduced from 30 times the Basic Calculation Amount (BCA) to 1 time.
This decree will start a new phase in the development of cooperation between the public and private sectors in education.
The introduction of these benefits will have a positive impact not only on private institutions but also on parents and students. Through these new opportunities, a broader choice will be created in the education sector, allowing each family to select the institution that meets their needs.
