Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has launched a major artificial intelligence startup called Project Prometheus, The New York Times reports. This marks his first return to an executive leadership role since stepping down as Amazon’s CEO in 2021.

The company employs about 100 specialists, including former OpenAI and DeepMind engineers.
