Clients of the Russian Raiffeisen Bank from July 3 will no longer be able to make outgoing payments in euros to other banks if the recipient's bank is located in Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the UAE, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, according to the credit institution's website.
The reason for this is a change in the conditions "imposed on the side of correspondent banks restrictions," added the press service of the bank. The new conditions apply to clients individuals, individual entrepreneurs, as well as legal entities.
The restriction also applies to outgoing transfers in euros to customers' own accounts opened with other banks in one of the listed countries. The Bank recommends that customers change the currency of the outgoing transfer or use other payment methods.
The new conditions do not apply to transfers in euros between Raiffeisen Bank clients in Russia. Customers can still transfer euros between their Raiffeisenbank accounts or send them to another customer of this bank.
