This is the country&#39;s first comprehensive youth policy strategy, aimed at strengthening the role and realizing the potential of young people in building a New Uzbekistan. Currently, our country&#39;s population is 38 million, of which 9.5 million, or almost 25 percent, are young people between the ages of 14 and 30. Each year, approximately 270,000 young families are created in the country. This demographic factor requires a long-term and systemic approach to youth policy. The strategy prioritizes such areas as ensuring youth employment and supporting their entrepreneurial activity, developing high-quality and inclusive education, popularizing foreign languages, expanding vocational training, stimulating the labor market, and supporting young families. Particular attention is also paid to strengthening cultural, physical, and intellectual development, expanding the volunteer movement, improving youth health, and developing mechanisms for openness and engagement. The presentation discussed key targets to be achieved by 2030. Specifically, it is planned to annually employ 600,000 young people, engage 900,000 people in volunteer activities by 2030, increase the number of training centers to 90,000, raise the foreign language proficiency level of 450,000 young people to B2, reduce youth crime, and provide mortgage support to at least 10,000 young families annually. In the education sector, new benefits are envisaged aimed at ensuring high-quality education for young people, supporting non-state educational services, expanding the capacity of training centers in remote areas, and encouraging the study of foreign languages. Specifically, it is proposed to allocate loans of up to 300 million soums for the establishment of educational centers in remote and hard-to-reach areas, and to set the social tax rate for them and the income tax for their teachers at 1 percent. The mortgage program plans to compensate part of the interest rate on loans exceeding the Central Bank&#39;s base rate, thereby creating additional housing convenience for young families. To increase youth social engagement, it is planned to allocate grants of up to 100 million soums from the Volunteer Support Fund, attract active young people to paid internships at government organizations, establish a Presidential Prize for creative youth, and create &quot;Youth Streets&quot; with bookstores and book cafes. In addition, minimum standards for youth infrastructure will be established. These standards will be implemented in exemplary fashion in &quot;youth districts and cities&quot; selected in each region. The strategy also addresses issues of improving youth health, reducing mental health risks, and strengthening the psychological support system. Specifically, it envisages reducing the proportion of young people at psychological risk by 40 percent, creating a 24-hour psychological support center, and increasing the proportion of young people regularly participating in sports by 25 percent. To strengthen open dialogue and objective analysis in youth policy, the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems and the Training of Prospective Personnel will conduct sociological surveys on the needs and expectations of young people, which will be used to create a National Youth Index. Particular attention will be paid to responding to youth inquiries. Meetings and dialogue with young people will be held every Thursday. The development of international cooperation is also identified as an important area of the strategy. To this end, it is planned to launch international forums, global initiatives, intergenerational dialogues, the International Youth Congress, and other formats, as well as hold major events on August 12, International Youth Day. It is planned to ensure the participation of 100,000 young men and women from Uzbekistan in international programs. Furthermore, in collaboration with such organizations as the UN, the World Bank, and the EBRD, internships at international organizations are planned through the Junior Professional Officer program.
