Russia and Uzbekistan discuss the production of the "Atom" electric car
Uzbekistan
Russia's Kama company considers Uzbekistan as a potential platform for the production of the Atom electric vehicle. Negotiations are already underway with the Uzbek side, TASS reports.
The car manufacturer is ready to share its technologies with Uzbekistan, which will open up new opportunities for localizing production. In addition to Uzbekistan, the company is considering cooperation with China and several other countries.
The "Atom" electric car, presented in 2023, will have a 77 kW battery and a range of up to 500 km. The acceleration to 100 km/h will take 8 seconds, and the starting price will be about 2.9 million rubles (≈32.1 thousand US dollars).
Uzbekistan actively supports the development of environmentally friendly transport. There are tax benefits and incentives for electric vehicle manufacturers in the country, which makes the republic attractive to foreign investors. The successful implementation of the project can strengthen Uzbekistan's position in the automotive industry and give impetus to the development of "green" technologies.
