Russia leads in the number of enterprises with foreign investments in Uzbekistan

As of 1 June 2024, 14,349 enterprises and organisations with foreign investments are operating in Uzbekistan, according to the data of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The largest number of such enterprises belongs to Russia - 3,015 enterprises.
Russia is followed by:
- China - 2,667 enterprises
- Türkiye - 1 850 enterprises
- Kazakhstan - 1 100 enterprises
- South Korea - 711 enterprises
- USA - 310 enterprises
The recent visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan was a significant event for strengthening economic ties between the two countries. During the visit, agreements were signed on new projects worth more than $20 billion. Particular attention was paid to building up practical interaction in the trade and economic sphere.
The parties agreed on the importance of further increasing trade turnover and set a goal of reaching $30 billion in the long term.
