Samarkand has become the epicenter of international academic dialogue as the "Central Asia – European Union University Congress" officially commenced. The event gathered over 300 university representatives and experts to establish a unified educational space between the two regions.

A focal point of the event was the ministerial panel session titled "New Directions for Cooperation between European Union and Central Asian Universities." Key educational figures delivered strategic reports, including Uzbekistan’s Minister of Higher Education Kongratbay Sharipov, Tajikistan’s Minister of Education Rahim Hamro Saidzoda, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Education Durus Kozuev, and Poland’s Director General for Science and Higher Education Marcin Iskra.

The discussions centered on digitalization, the launch of joint degree programs, and improving the international rankings of regional universities. Parallel to the main event, leadership from the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan met with the Polish delegation to agree on expanding academic exchanges. The Samarkand forum reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s status as a leading moderator in developing Central Asia's intellectual potential and a reliable partner for the European academic community.
