Samarkand International Airport has secured 2nd place in the ACI Europe ranking for the first half of 2024 in terms of passenger traffic growth. This ranking includes airports with an annual capacity of 1 to 10 million passengers.
According to reports, in July 2024, the airport served 117,000 passengers, reflecting a 51% increase compared to the same period in 2023. In the first six months of 2024, the airport welcomed 647,000 passengers, marking a 47% growth from the previous year.

Consistent passenger traffic increase: A steady rise has been recorded for 22 consecutive months since October 2022.
Airline partnerships: Currently, 21 airlines operate flights to 18 destinations (17 international and 1 domestic) via the airport.
Infrastructure development: The airport’s management company, "Air Marakanda", is actively enhancing service quality and passenger convenience.
