Santa Claus Receives More and More Letters from Southeast Asia and China
World
The number of letters from Southeast Asian countries and China sent to Santa Claus’s residence in Russia continues to grow. This was announced by Moscow Santa Claus at a TASS press conference.
"Letters come from everywhere. ... Last year, about 400,000 letters arrived at the residence. ... Since the beginning of this season, around 10,000 letters have already been received at the residence. Recently, Southeast Asia and China have become more active, along with other countries — they are our regular correspondents," said Santa Claus.
According to him, "Russian Post" successfully handles its tasks. Santa Claus also mentioned that approximately one million paper letters are sent to the Moscow residence every year.
"Last year, almost a million letters were sent. I think this year won’t be any less," he said. He also added that hundreds of letters arrive daily, and tens of thousands are delivered in bags each month. "We process them all and send out gifts; we have a special team for this," Santa Claus noted.
