Tashkent's legendary theatrical stages are preparing for a massive overhaul. Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, personally inspected iconic cultural institutions, pledging systematic state support to modernize their aging infrastructure and facilitate the creation of contemporary repertoires.
The funding and material-technical equipment of the capital's theaters have come under the personal supervision of Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration. During her visit, she inspected the Muqimi State Academic Theatre, the Youth Theatre, and the Puppet Theatre, as well as the "Arena" dormitory. It was noted that the buildings of these cultural sites have long been in need of major reconstruction.
In addition to the theaters, attention was focused on the State Museum of Literature named after Alisher Navoi, where work is underway to digitize unique manuscripts. Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that Tashkent's vibrant theatrical life is impossible without a modern infrastructure. "We need to create all the necessary conditions for repertoires to be updated and for relevant productions to be staged for the enjoyment of the audience," she stated. Responsible officials have already been appointed to resolve the financial issues.
Previously, Saida Mirziyoyeva conducted a similar inspection in the Samarkand region, evaluating the development of the "Yangi O‘zbekiston" residential area and checking the condition of social facilities requiring immediate intervention. These steps reflect the leadership's comprehensive approach to infrastructure development across both the capital and the regions.
