President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

My dear brother,
I am very pleased to sincerely congratulate Your Excellency and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan and extend my best wishes on the occasion of your country’s national holiday — Independence Day.
I would especially like to note that under your wise leadership, Azerbaijan is carrying out important transformations and large-scale reforms in all sectors, improving the welfare and living standards of its people, while extensive construction and beautification works are being implemented across the regions.
Recently, at your initiative, the 13th session of the World Urban Forum was organized successfully and at the highest level in the beautiful and unique city of Baku. This is yet another vivid testament to Azerbaijan’s steadily growing prestige and standing in the international arena.
Certainly, the rapid development of cooperation between our two countries in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other priority areas, as well as the elevation of our strategic partnership and alliance to an entirely new level in recent years thanks to our joint and determined efforts, gives us great satisfaction.
I am confident that the full implementation of the important agreements reached through our regular productive meetings and mutual dialogue will further strengthen our multifaceted ties.
