On 23 October 2025, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Brussels on an official visit at the invitation of European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The visit aims to strengthen political dialogue and sign the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan arrived in Brussels on 23 October for an official visit at the invitation of the leadership of the European Union.
During his stay in the Belgian capital, the President will hold talks with the leaders of the European Council and the European Commission, focusing on expanding and deepening cooperation in political, economic, and investment spheres.
The central event of the visit will be the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations.
President Mirziyoyev is also scheduled to meet King Philippe of Belgium and hold discussions with representatives of leading European companies and financial institutions interested in investment and partnership with Uzbekistan.
