Son of Ramzan Kadyrov receives title of Hero of Chechnya

On September 25, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov published a video in his Telegram channel showing his 15-year-old son Adam beating 19-year-old Nikita Zhuravel, a defendant in the Koran burning case.
Adam Kadyrov, son of the Chechen leader, who beat Nikita Zhuravel, arrested in the Koran burning case, in a pre-trial detention center, has been awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya. This was announced by State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov.
He called 15-year-old Adam Kadyrov "a shining example of a highly qualified, comprehensively educated and purposeful young man" who "from an early age displayed leadership and organizational qualities, always striving for his own development and wasting no time in vain."
According to Delimkhanov's post, Kadyrov Jr. "has achieved exceptional success in the field of sport, with a number of brilliant and unambiguous victories at prestigious mixed martial arts tournaments".
Nikita Zhuravel was arrested in May 2023 on charges of insulting the feelings of believers. According to the investigation, on the instructions of the Ukrainian security services, he burned the Koran in front of the cathedral mosque in Volgograd, after which he handed over a video recording of his actions to a law enforcer. Zhuravel was arrested on May 22, and five days later he was taken to the Grozny pre-trial detention center.
In mid-August, Zhuravel reported that he had been beaten by Adam Kadyrov in the pre-trial detention center. In the second half of September, Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov published a video showing him beating his son Zhuravel. Commenting on the video, the head of the republic Adam said that he was proud of Kadyrov's act.
