According to the report, "The official reopening of border crossing points will take place with the participation of high-ranking officials and border guards from both sides." However, it remains unclear whether the presidents of the two countries will participate virtually or in person. It is also unknown which specific border checkpoint will be reopened.

Another source in the Isfara administration told Asia-Plus that the presidents of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will symbolically participate in the reopening of two border crossing points between the countries.

Additionally, a group of journalists has been invited to border areas tomorrow, March 13, to cover the event.

For reference, the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan was closed following a border conflict in April-May 2021. At that time, Kyrgyzstan unilaterally decided to close the border.
