Yesterday, the grand closing ceremony of the 9th Winter Asian Games was held in Harbin, China. This was reported by Dunyo AA.

The Chinese national team secured first place in the overall medal standings, winning 32 gold medals. In total, the Chinese team claimed 85 awards.

South Korea ranked second with 45 medals, including 16 golds. Japan took third place with 37 medals, of which 10 were gold.

Uzbekistan's figure skaters Dmitry Chigirev and Ekaterina Geynish, who competed in the pairs program, delivered an outstanding performance and took the top spot on the podium in China. They earned the country its first gold medal in this discipline.

With this gold medal, the Uzbekistan delegation finished fifth in the overall standings, following China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Kazakhstan.

The 9th Winter Asian Games took place from February 7 to 14, with 1,300 athletes from 34 Asian countries and regions participating.

The next Winter Asian Games will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2029.
