The FIA Conference has started its work in Samarkand

The Conference of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) has started its work in Samarkand. The press service of the NOC of Uzbekistan informs that the prestigious event was inaugurated today.
It is reported that the ceremony was attended by the FIA leadership headed by Mohammed Ben Sulayem, Head of Department of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, governor of Samarkand region Erkin Turdimov, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, leadership of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, as well as the National Autosport and Karting Federation of Uzbekistan and honoured guests of the event.
It is worth noting that the 120th anniversary of the International Organisation is also being widely celebrated during the Conference. Opening the event, Odil Abdurakhmanov and Erkin Turdimov told the guests about the large-scale reforms in the development of each sport under the leadership of the honourable President.
In turn, Mr Ben Sulayem noted that Uzbekistan has prepared at a high level to host this prestigious event, and it is going well, with all necessary conditions created for the guests.
During the ceremony, the officials discussed a number of topics. The extraordinary General Assembly of the Organisation, which is considered the main event of the Conference, will be held on 13 June.
