As part of the visit to the Center for Islamic Civilization, the Presidents of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan took part in a solemn award ceremony for the laureates of the international “Kelajak Merosi” award.

The international prize, established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aims to encourage national and foreign representatives of the creative community who have achieved significant success in literature, culture, art, science, education, and digital technologies.

The winners of the first competition were representatives from the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan: in the Literature nomination – Sultan Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY and people’s writer of Kyrgyzstan, in the category of Culture – Davlat Safarzoda, people’s poet of Tajikistan, in the Theater and Cinema nomination – Yerkebulan Daiyrov, an actor at the M. Auezov National Drama Theater of Kazakhstan,  in the Music and Dance category – Alim Qasimov, people's artist of Azerbaijan, in the nomination of Fine and Applied Arts – Babasary Annamyradov, people’s artist of Turkmenistan, and in the Science, Education, and Digital Technologies category – Dilafruz Egamberdiyeva, deputy director of the International Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and a doctor of agricultural sciences.

In the presence of the leaders, the laureates were presented with the prize statuette, a diploma, and a monetary award of $10,000.
