The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan invites producers and exporters of food products of the country to participate in the World Food Programme (WFP) of the United Nations. This was stated in the press service of the ministry.

It is stated that the program aims to provide humanitarian aid to countries in need through the supply of food products.

The advantages of participating in this program include systematic bulk purchasing of products, guaranteed payment, and participation in a prestigious global program.

Enterprises are required to guarantee the quality and safety of the supplied products. All goods purchased by the program are checked for quality, quantity, safety, and packaging features. If inspections reveal that the goods do not meet the contract requirements, the procurement contract will be terminated.

The ministry has included the following items in the list of goods produced in Uzbekistan and purchased under the World Food Programme: wheat, wheat flour, chickpeas, sorghum, bean mix, white beans, canned white beans, canned red beans, canned chickpeas, canned chickpeas and carrots, tomato paste, cookies and biscuits, sunflower oil, fruit juice, halva, iodized salt, pasta, sterilized milk, canned beef, packaged chicken meat.

The World Food Program (WFP) is the largest humanitarian aid organization in the world, operating in more than 80 countries. Its main task is to combat poverty and provide essential food to civilians affected by various conflicts and natural disasters.
