As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Eduardo Menezes, Chief Executive Officer of Air Products.
The parties discussed the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with this American company, which is actively investing in the creation of high-tech industrial enterprises in our country.
Air Products is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of industrial gases globally, with a market capitalization exceeding $60 billion. The company annually produces 200 million tons of industrial gases in more than 50 countries and operates a network of approximately 750 production facilities.
Currently, the company's total investment in our country has exceeded $1 billion. Projects to process industrial gases at the GTL Uzbekistan plant, produce hydrogen at the Fergana Oil Refinery, and produce liquid carbon dioxide at Navoiazot, as well as educational programs in Tashkent and Karshi, have been completed.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate the implementation of new projects with the company's participation based on a roadmap.
