The President of Uzbekistan's state visit to Pakistan has begun

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Islamabad on a state visit.
The distinguished visitor's aircraft was escorted by fighter jets of the Pakistani Air Force while over Pakistani airspace.
At Nurhan Airport, the head of state was met by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and other officials.
The national flags of both countries were raised and a guard of honor was formed.
According to the program, talks will be held today with the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces – Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as well as the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
Tomorrow, February 6, a meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and participation in the Uzbekistan-Pakistan business forum are scheduled.
