The President visited the Dustlik mahalla in Bekabad
Uzbekistan
During his visit to Bekabad, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the ongoing development work along the Khos Yoz Canal and in the Dustlik mahalla.
The once neglected, neglected, and run-down coastal area of the Khos Yoz Canal has now been transformed into one of the city's most picturesque spots. A modern public space with all necessary amenities is now within walking distance of the mahallas.
As part of the comprehensive development master plan for the area, a dedicated 3-kilometer pedestrian path, 5.4 kilometers of protective fencing, and two bridges have been built. Additionally, 27 new retail and modern service facilities have opened along the embankment, creating 167 permanent jobs.
The head of state spoke with young people involved in sports there.
The Dustlik mahalla currently occupies an area of 28 hectares. The mahalla includes 33 apartment buildings, a private preschool, a football field, 16 sports and playgrounds, and a library.
This year, 10 service facilities and one food service establishment were built using 1.1 billion soums of investment from entrepreneurs. This resulted in the creation of 25 jobs. Additionally, the initiative group financed the construction of Vatanparvar Park, which features military equipment and service facilities.
Funded by the Initiative Budget, a Bekabad City Museum was established within the mahalla. A wooden summer gazebo was built for recreation for senior citizens and labor veterans, as well as for hosting meetings, roundtables, and spiritual and educational events.
The head of state inspected the construction work carried out in the mahalla and the conditions created for residents, and held a warm conversation with the mahalla's activists and labor veterans.
"All our undertakings, construction projects, and ongoing projects must, first and foremost, serve the people and improve their lives. People must feel the changes taking place in their mahalla, their city, and see their results in their daily lives.
Every time we visit the regions, we must ensure that people feel the spirit of the reforms of the New Uzbekistan, a breath of renewal and progress. The city of Bekabad, with its hardworking and dedicated population, talented youth, and wise elders with rich life experience, must become an even more prosperous and developed place.
We are mobilizing every resource to ensure that the dreams and aspirations of our youth, and the good intentions and goals of our older generation, come true," the President said.
This concluded the President's visit to Bekabad. The head of state returned to Tashkent.
