The sacred site is being transformed into a grand architectural complex. The area has been expanded to 44 hectares, featuring a mausoleum, a mosque for 10,000 worshippers, an administrative building, and four minarets, each 75 meters tall, giving the ensemble a majestic appearance.

Skilled artisans are decorating the walls and portals with calligraphy of hadiths from Sahih al-Bukhari. An innovative museum is also under construction to showcase Imam Bukhari’s life, his scholarly legacy, and his contribution to Islamic science and education. Exhibitions will also include the history of the 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur’an and the genealogy of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

A hotel and service facilities for pilgrims are being built nearby.

The President emphasized that the complex should serve not only as a place of worship but also as a center of science, enlightenment, and moral guidance, instructing officials to ensure quality completion, improve visitor amenities, and expand green zones around the site.
