"Uzbekistan Railways" JSC launched the development of the TIA of the high-speed passenger railway.
On December 24, 2024, the management of "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC held talks with the project manager of "SAMAN Corporation" Jin Kang (Korea).
The main topic of discussion was the start of work on the preliminary feasibility study (TIA) for the construction of the new high-speed passenger railway "Tashkent - Samarkand".
This project, implemented at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is aimed at modernizing the transport system of our country. The new highway will significantly reduce the travel time between the two major cities, increase the level of comfort for passengers and improve the quality of transport services.
The parties emphasized the importance of this initiative in improving interregional connections, increasing the flow of passengers and increasing the number of high-speed trains. The implementation of the project will help strengthen the economic development of the republic and bring the transport industry of Uzbekistan to a new stage.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to create a working group that will speed up the process of preparing the technical and economic basis of the project.
