The "Risoviy Market" was put up for auction in Tashkent
Uzbekistan
One of the most popular markets in the capital - the "Risoviy Market" in the Mirobod district - is offered for sale through the E-auksion platform. This refers to the buildings and structures of the "Beshqo'rg'on" dehkan market branch located at the intersection of Farg'on yo'li and Abdurauf Fitrat streets.
The facility is being implemented by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan (Resolution No. 411 dated July 10, 2024). The starting price is 15.9 billion soums.
The winner of the bidding will be obliged to implement a project for a new eco-market with retail, office, service, and entertainment facilities, as well as a parking lot. All of this must comply with the previously approved master plan. The area is 0.26 hectares.
Applications are accepted until 9:00 AM on April 28th, and the results will be summarized at 10:00 AM on the same day.
This is not the first time major markets in Tashkent have been privatized: in October 2024, the Ibn Sino market was put up for sale, but it was never purchased. And in November, the Askiya market was sold to the Chinese company Sheng Ke-International for 225.59 billion soums after a 15-minute auction.
