The Speaker of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan meets with the President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye

The meeting noted with satisfaction that bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation is gaining momentum, an active political dialogue is being conducted, the pace of relations in the trade, economic, and investment spheres is increasing, and effective cultural and humanitarian exchanges continue.

Also highlighted was the activity of the Uzbekistan-Türkiye inter-parliamentary friendship group and a number of positive initiatives being implemented within its framework. It was decided to enhance its activities by establishing regular consultative meetings and fostering connections between the research institutions affiliated with the parliaments of both countries.

In turn, Numan Kurtulmuş, acknowledging the balanced, open, and constructive foreign policy pursued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in recent years, as well as the extensive reforms and their results, emphasized that further expansion and strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation and increasing dialogue in this direction are beneficial in all respects.

"It is noteworthy that under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is implementing comprehensive reforms aimed at laying the foundation for a new renaissance, a third Renaissance. Especially in recent times, we observe how efforts in the fields of science, art, and culture are bearing fruit," highlighted the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş.
