There will be no more fines for marking: what will change from June 1

Uzbekistan

Starting June 1st, new traffic rules aimed at making life easier for drivers are coming into force in Uzbekistan. Among the main innovations are the abolition of fines for hitting road markings, nighttime road repairs, free passage on bus lanes at night, and mandatory "radar" signs.

There will be no more fines for marking: what will change from June 1
According to the government decision, adopted on the President's instruction and taking into account citizens' appeals, from June 1, 2025, photo and video cameras will stop recording violations related to hitting road markings. The "stop line" (5.33 sign) remains an exception - for crossing it, penalties are retained.

Now, if the driver drove on the solid line or other markings, the fine will not be issued automatically, even if the violation is recorded by the camera. However, a traffic police inspector can manually document the violation if they personally record it.

In addition, from 23:00 to 06:00 at night, movement will be permitted on bus lanes ("A" lanes). Previously, such sections were only available for route transport. But since most routes finish their work by 23:00, driving a personal car at night along these lanes is no longer considered a violation.

Another important change relates to the organization of road works: from now on, road repairs and marking in cities are permitted only at night - from 21:00 to 07:00. This is done to reduce traffic congestion and create convenience for city residents, especially during peak hours.

And finally, from September 1, all stationary and mobile radars must be marked with a special road sign "Radar," installed at a distance of 250 to 500 meters from the device itself. This will ensure greater transparency in speed control and reduce the risk of unexpected fines.
