The two discussed cooperation in education, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Tokayev praised Telegram’s role in advancing the country’s digital agenda, noting that the company has officially become a resident of Astana Hub, opened an office in Kazakhstan, and launched AI laboratories at the AIem.Ai center.

Durov presented plans for joint AI projects, including a new initiative that will combine blockchain and artificial intelligence on Kazakhstan’s supercomputer infrastructure. According to him, this technology could give over one billion Telegram users access to AI features through a decentralized and transparent system.

It is worth noting that Durov visited Kazakhstan last year as well, highlighting that 12.5 million out of the country’s 20 million residents actively use Telegram.
