In an interview with NBC, he emphasized that he would not accept the $400,000 annual presidential salary and would also forgo the lifelong pension.

According to Trump: "I will not take a single cent. This is my contribution to reducing government expenses," he said. He added that he might become the first president in U.S. history not to receive a salary for his service — "except, perhaps, for George Washington."

Trump also refused his salary during his previous presidency. He allocated these funds to charitable causes and various programs, including the protection of national parks.

Nevertheless, Trump remains one of the wealthiest individuals in the United States. According to Forbes, his fortune is estimated at $2.3 billion.
