In September, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan will study the possibility of creating an Uzbek Center for Industrial Cooperation and Distribution in the Egyptian SEZ Port Said.

A videoconference meeting was held between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI) and the leadership of the Egyptian Businessmen Association (MIU). This was reported by Dunyo.

At the meeting, issues of expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, increasing mutual trade and exports, holding business forums, meetings with the participation of entrepreneurs, creating a Center for industrial cooperation and distribution of Uzbek manufacturers in the free economic zones of the city of Port Said, warehouse lease.

MIU plans to hold a business forum of Uzbek-Egyptian entrepreneurs in Cairo in August this year. And in September, a delegation of the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to visit, within the framework of which the possibilities of creating an Uzbek Center for Industrial Cooperation and Distribution in the Port Said SEZ will be considered.

The participants of the event agreed to further expand cooperation, accelerate the organization of business trips between the two countries, conduct business forums, presentations, exhibitions, meetings in the form of B2B and B2G.

Following the meeting, a document was signed online on the establishment of a Business Council between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Egyptian Business Association.
