A fruitful Uzbek-Turkish summit in the city of Ankara has come to an end.

During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a series of high-level events took place.

The heads of state held a private meeting and the third session of the Strategic Cooperation Council.

As a result, a Joint Declaration on Deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, as well as 19 bilateral documents, were signed.

For the first time, the leaders held a joint meeting with the heads of leading enterprises and companies.

At the conclusion of the visit's events, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife were seen off at Esenboğa International Airport by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife.

For reference: In January-April 2024, the trade volume between Uzbekistan and Türkiye amounted to $0.9 billion, of which Uzbekistan's exports were $378.0 million (41%) and imports were $542.3 million (59%).
