Uzbek officials and governors will work closely with tourism entrepreneurs

Under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan, a video conference meeting is underway to further improve tourism infrastructure in the regions, increase tourist flows, and engage in dialogue with entrepreneurs operating in this sector, reports the press service of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Uzbek leader emphasized the necessity of supporting industries such as tourism, which create new jobs, increase investments, and exports amid the current complex geopolitical and economic situation.
It was highlighted that it is important for officials and governors to study the problems, opinions, and suggestions that concern entrepreneurs in this industry and closely collaborate with them.
Recall that the XII session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM) concluded the day before, held from May 31 to June 2 in Khiva under the slogan "Khiva is a tourist city of the Islamic world in 2024."
