Uzbek President Attends the Opening of the "Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week" Summit

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is on an official visit in Abu Dhabi.
On January 14, the head of state participated in the opening ceremony of the international summit "Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week" and in the ceremony of presenting the Sheikh Zayed Award for Sustainable Development.
The event was attended by the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, President of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan, President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni, and other foreign leaders.
The "Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week" is an international platform established in 2008 by the UAE government and the "Masdar" company to address global sustainable development challenges. The forum aims to accelerate global sustainable progress, promote economic, social, and ecological development, ensure food and water security, and advance energy efficiency and decarbonization.
This year's summit agenda includes ensuring sustainable development in the field of "green" economy, implementing innovations and new technologies, and strengthening regional cooperation in energy and food security.
As part of the forum, the Sheikh Zayed Award for achievements in sustainable development was also presented. In the "Global Middle Schools" category, the Presidential School of Tashkent was declared the winner.
The award was presented by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the school representatives and warmly congratulated them on their victory.
