Uzbekistan Airways launches charter flights to Saudi Arabia for pilgrims as part of the "Hajj-2024" program

Uzbekistan Airways, in collaboration with the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, has commenced charter passenger flights to Saudi Arabia as part of the "Hajj-2024" program, according to the airline's press service.
It was reported that from May 23 to June 7, pilgrims wishing to perform the rituals of Hajj will be transported to Medina from 10 regional international airports in Uzbekistan, specifically from Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, Bukhara, Samarkand, Karshi, Termez, Navoi, Nukus, and Urgench.
According to the agreement between the airline and the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, 124 charter passenger flights are scheduled for this year, aiming to transport 15,130 pilgrims.
Additionally, starting from May 9 this year, residents of Samarkand have been given a unique opportunity to travel easily and comfortably to Nizhny Novgorod thanks to a new air route, which will be operated weekly on Thursdays.
