Russia Begins Production of Mobile Shelters Against Nuclear Explosions

The All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOChS) has announced the launch of serial production of the "KUB-M" mobile shelter.
The production has been set up in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, according to a publication by the institute dated November 18.
It is reported that the shelter "provides protection for people against various threats, including natural disasters and technological accidents."
In December 2023, project developers stated that the "KUB-M" is capable of providing 48 hours of protection from:
The standard shelter setup consists of two modules: a living area for 54 people and a technical block. The shelter’s capacity can be increased using additional modules. Developers have noted that the shelter is easy to transport and connect to existing engineering systems.
