Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, Alexei Erkhov.

The parties conducted a detailed review of the current state of bilateral relations, noting that the firm political will of both heads of state allows for the consistent expansion of their multifaceted alliance amid a shifting global landscape.

During the talks, particular attention was paid to the practical yields of ongoing joint projects. The interlocutors emphasized that diversified cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, alongside strategic projects in nuclear energy, directly drives economic activity and population welfare. Alexei Erkhov noted that in recent years, contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries have gained new substance through regular reciprocal visits and joint events. Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to further mobilize the potential of interregional cooperation, which serves as a prime mover for job creation and the strengthening of cultural, humanitarian, and educational ties.
