Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Discuss Strategic Partnership

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev held a high-level meeting in Baku to discuss key aspects of implementing strategic agreements. The meeting focused on strengthening the friendly and allied relations between the two countries.
President Mirziyoyev congratulated Azerbaijan on successfully hosting the UN Climate Summit and expressed satisfaction with the deepening bilateral relations. The leaders noted ongoing progress in areas such as agriculture, industry, and automotive manufacturing.
The discussion highlighted the growth in mutual trade volume and the expansion of joint project portfolios, with an emphasis on attracting investment through the Joint Investment Company. Successful cooperation was noted in sectors such as automotive, textile, and construction.
The two presidents also addressed expanding practical cooperation to support Afghanistan’s economic development. As part of the upcoming 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, they agreed to prepare a comprehensive program of cultural and interregional exchanges.
