The sides also discussed prospects for establishing modern laboratories and competence centers at Uzbek higher education institutions, implementing joint initiatives in robotics and artificial intelligence, commercializing research results and developing spin-off companies. Vucic made the announcement on RTS television, adding that he had previously received a proposal from the government to dissolve parliament. The president called on all participants in the election campaign to take citizens&rsquo; needs and problems into account and find ways to &ldquo;reach the people&rdquo; rather than putting their own interests first. The memorandum was signed on September 9 following a meeting of customs service representatives on the sidelines of the 7th Global Canine Forum of the World Customs Organization, being held in Tashkent from September 7 to 9. &ldquo;A memorandum was signed with the canine department of the Russian customs service,&rdquo; the press service of Uzbekistan&rsquo;s State Customs Committee said. Under the document, the two sides will define key areas of cooperation both at present and in the future. The partnership will focus on canine training, the education and use of service dogs in customs operations, as well as the exchange of experience. The 7th WCO Global Canine Forum is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time with Russia participating. Representatives of customs services from more than 50 countries are attending the event. Uzbekistan’s Customs Committee and the Canine Department of Russia’s Federal Customs Service have signed a cooperation memorandum. The document sets out key areas of cooperation between the two agencies in the training and operation of customs canine units.

The event is attended by heads of air navigation service providers from T&uuml;rkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Hungary, along with senior representatives of leading international aviation organizations including ICAO, CANSO and EUROCONTROL. The summit agenda covers air traffic management (ATM), the development of communications, navigation and surveillance systems (CNS), the use of artificial intelligence, Green ATM and air traffic flow management (ATFM). The New York Times reported that the released material contains more than 170,000 pages of air-quality reports and pollution records. The documents were made public following a lawsuit filed by the organization 9/11 Health Watch. The records show that hazardous substances continued to be detected months after the destruction of the World Trade Center. In July 2002, ten months after the attacks, specialists were still finding asbestos less than 1.5 kilometers from the World Trade Center. Despite this, city authorities repeatedly told residents that the air was safe and that the results of inspections were within acceptable limits. Ben Chevat, head of 9/11 Health Watch, said the documents show that New York authorities knew about the danger posed by toxic chemicals but continued to assure residents that they were not present in the air. According to NYT estimates, nearly 3,000 people have died from illnesses caused by exposure to hazardous substances in the air following the attacks. That figure exceeds the number of people killed directly in the September 11 attacks. On September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists from al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger aircraft in the United States. Two were flown into the World Trade Center towers in New York, while a third struck the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed near Shanksville.
