Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Accelerate Digital Transformation of Their Judicial Systems

Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to continue cooperation on digital justice and the modernization of their judicial systems. The talks were held on August 24 as part of an official visit by a Kyrgyz delegation to Uzbekistan.
Robakhon Makhmudova, Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation led by Nurlan Musayev, Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic. The sides discussed the digital transformation of the judiciary, the introduction of modern information technologies and the exchange of practical experience.
Particular attention was given to the “Digital Court” concept, which provides for expanding electronic court proceedings and further improving the my.sud.uz portal and its mobile application. In the longer term, Uzbekistan plans to raise the share of court applications submitted electronically to 50% and introduce audio recording of court hearings.
The Kyrgyz side expressed its readiness to share its own experience and developments in the digitalization of justice.
The Kyrgyz delegation was also briefed on the main priorities of the “Justice — 2030” strategy, approved in Uzbekistan in August. The strategy aims to develop a more accessible and fair judicial system, strengthen the protection of human rights and expand the use of modern technologies in court operations.
Following the talks, the two sides confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation between their judicial authorities and developing practical engagement in the digitalization of justice.
