As part of his official visit to Malaysia, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim visited Petronas' headquarters in the Twin Towers, where they held talks with the corporation's head, Muhammad Taufik. Plans for joint projects in the field of deep processing of raw materials, development of "green" energy, and development of new hydrocarbon deposits were discussed.
The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in conducting geological exploration, implementing advanced technologies for capturing and storing carbon dioxide, and training specialists at Petronas University. President Mirziyoyev expressed support for these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of partnership with one of the world leaders in the energy sector.
