Uzbekistan and Slovakia signed a declaration on strategic partnership

On June 9, talks were held in Tashkent between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico, following which a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership Relations was signed.

The document marks a new stage in the development of bilateral cooperation and enshrines the course towards deepened political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between Tashkent and Bratislava.

A ceremony of exchanging signed agreements took place in the presence of the leaders, including:
  • Agreement on the training of diplomatic personnel;
  • agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture;
  • agreement in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment of goods;
  • Agreement on Interaction in the Regulation of Energy Markets;
  • cooperation program between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2025-2026;
  • 2025-2026 cooperation program in the field of standardization.

The signed documents are aimed at expanding institutional dialogue and implementing practical projects in key sectors.
