In Seoul, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullaev held talks with South Korea’s Deputy Minister of Justice and Commissioner of the Immigration Service, Kim Jong Do, reports a "Dunyo" AA correspondent.
The discussions focused on protecting the rights of Uzbek citizens, mutual recognition of qualifications, development of vocational education, reducing illegal migration, and joint efforts to combat human trafficking and crime.
As a result, the parties agreed to resume the participation of Uzbek citizens in South Korea’s seasonal work program (E-8 visa).
They also decided to establish a working group and hold regular video conferences to strengthen cooperation and improve conditions for labor migrants.
