Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea will develop a new high-tech partnership strategy for the next three years
During the talks, the importance of forming a new high-tech agenda for the Uzbekistan-Korea special strategic partnership for the next three years was emphasized. In this context, the governments were instructed to prepare a Strategic Program for creating a regional high-tech hub in Uzbekistan, with several priority areas of cooperation proposed as key directions.

Firstly, partnership in the field of critical mineral resources, focusing on deep processing of the resource base to create a complete value-added chain.

Secondly, strategic cooperation in the semiconductor industry, where the Republic of Korea is a global leader. Plans include creating the region's first full-fledged scientific and production cluster for semiconductor products in Uzbekistan.

Thirdly, comprehensive partnership in the chemical industry, with new projects for the production of green hydrogen and ammonia, as well as the manufacturing of finished rubber products.

Fourthly, strengthening cooperation in mechanical engineering. This spring, a KIA car assembly line was launched in the Jizzakh region, and full-scale production of a sedan with a capacity of more than 60,000 units per year is planned to begin next year.

Fifthly, technology transfer in creating "smart" agriculture, including digitalization of the agricultural sector and the implementation of "smart" and "green" technologies.

Sixthly, modernization of infrastructure and urban development programs.

Seventhly, modern and safe energy. To explore promising projects in the field of "green" energy and improve energy efficiency, the parties agreed to resume strategic dialogue at the level of energy ministers and hold the next meeting in Uzbekistan in the near future.
